Announcement next week?
Farmers Weekly is reporting that we may get an announcement about the Sustainable Farming Incentive 2023 at the Cereals event on 13th/14th June. We understand this may include more information about the six new SFI 2023 standards, how different options within SFI and Countryside Stewardship might work together and how the management payment might work. More information would be very welcome! With the increase in CS and SFI payment rates for upland farmers, now is the time for those not currently in agreements to decide whether to apply for either Stewardship or the new SFI Standards. With the Mid-Tier deadline of 18th August we need this information urgently.
