We had to postpone the Succession Planning workshop that was to have taken place last Tuesday at Settle Rugby Club because the sunny weather meant everyone was cutting grass! This meeting has now been rescheduled hopefully to 12th October.
We did go ahead with the meeting last night at Masham and had over 30 farmers attend.
Speakers from Walter Dawson & Co, Harrowells and FCN covered the tax reliefs available to farm businesses, the need for making Wills and Powers of Attorney, but also how important it is to plan ahead and communicate with all family members. Both these workshops are funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and we will confirm the Settle date asap.
