In 2024, over 4000 farm inspections were carried out by the Environment Agency across England. These inspections are targeted to farms and parts of the country at greatest risk of harm to the water environment. The EA has produced a How to Prepare for an Inspection from the Environment Agency Guide and a Video to help farmers understand what to expect during their farm visits.
