This week, Defra has clarified that fields in a Stewardship capital grant scheme (eg for wall or hedgerow restoration) cannot also be part of the Sustainable Farming Incentive pilot.  We knew this was a case for land that was in a Stewardship Scheme, but this is also the case for fields whose boundaries are in an agreement. Those who submitted an Expression of Interest earlier this year have until 1^st September to submit a full application.
