We are getting calls from farmers asking when they might hear whether their CP Small Grant scheme application has been approved (or not).

We are not aware of any farmers having received offers of grant as yet.  With the first round of the scheme in 2018, it took 5 to 6 weeks for the applications to be processed.  The deadline for this round was 3^rd September so it is likely to be at least mid-October before offers are sent out.  It may be later than this given the volume of applications.  Note that offers will be sent out by e mail rather than letter so check your emails, particularly Junk Mail.

It is very important that you wait for the grant offer before purchasing the item of equipment.  When you claim the grant, you will be submitting invoices and bank statements which will prove when the item was paid for and this must be after the offer date.
