The new Restart Grant scheme provides a grant of up to £18,000 for hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses to enable them to reopen safely. The grant is being administered by Local Authorities and is now open for applications. Businesses must be rate paying and have been trading on 1st April 2021.
The government backed Recovery Loan Scheme launched in April and replaces the Bounce Back and CBIL loan schemes. This is available from the main banks but note this scheme is 80% underwritten by the Government (and not 100% as was the case with Bounce Back Loans.)
