YDMT WOODLAND GRANTS AND SUPPORT

The Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust is offering support to help farmers plant trees in field margins, corners and in larger areas. Together with partner organisations, they offer free advice and funding to create new native broadleaf woodlands including gill planting, or hedgerows.   They can cover the costs involved in establishing new woodland, including the supply and planting of trees and hedgerows, protection, fencing, access gates and initial weeding costs. They will take you through the process of creating a woodland or hedgerow scheme and make it as simple as possible.  For more information contact: Chris Lodge, YDMT Woodland Officer T. 015242 51002 Email. woodlands@ydmt.org.  You can find out more at www.ydmt.org.
