We are in the process of finalizing a grant agreement with the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme that will help fund training vouchers in the Yorkshire Dales.  For Cumbria, we currently have funding for South and South West Cumbria through the Sir John Fisher Foundation and will shortly have a small amount of funding to draw down for other areas.  Members, their families and workers aged 40 or under can apply for a voucher to cover up to 50% of the cost of training up to a maximum grant of £200.  Applications can be made once the training is booked and are prioritised for members that have had less than 2 vouchers in the previous 5-year period.  A waiting list operates if funding is not available.  To apply, call Melanie Mawson at the Farmer Network office on 01768 868615.
