On Wednesday night, we enjoyed a summer’s evening farm walk as guests of the Johnson family at Broomhouse farm, near Haltwhistle.  A large crowd of Northumberland farmers were joined by farmers from North East Cumbria to hear how James and Claire Johnson have adopted a regenerative grazing system, incorporating species rich grass mixes and grazing with Innovis sheep.  There were many questions and lots of comments from the large crowd of farmers and a big thank you to James and Claire for an excellent farm walk and their open dialogue with the farmers.  It was one of the first workshops for the new Northumberland Network and a really good turn out.
