Following enquiries from members, we have tried to clarify the situation with regard to future changes to farm rodent control legislation.  From January 2026 onwards, all buyers and users of professional SGAR products must hold either a stewardship-specific training certificate less than five years old, or an older one with proof of membership of a stewardship-specific Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. Farmers currently within Assurance schemes should continue to adhere to the rules set by the scheme.  Other farmers can still purchase 300-gram bait packs but will eventually have to undertake an approved course and exam to become registered with CRRU.
