This week we were contacted by the Red Tractor Assurance scheme asking us to clarify when a written Health and Safety policy is required.  By law, you must have a Health and Safety policy in writing if you have more than five employees.  The new Red Tractor standard from November 2021 has gone further than the legislation and requires all farms with workers to have a written Health and Safety policy.  Red Tractor have asked us to clarify that this applies to all farms, whether or not they have paid employees.
