On Wednesday, the Farmer Network’s Holly Jones attended a Tyne Rivers Trust volunteer day at a farm in Northumberland.  The Farmer Network applied to the Northumberland Community Foundation LEAF grant to fund this project as part of the first steps of working with farmers and partner organisations in Northumberland.  A team of 18 volunteers planted trees adjacent to the river and a new hedge.
