The Lake District Foundation, on behalf of the Lake District National Park Partnership, is one of 12 organisations that has been selected to take forward a development proposal to the Heritage Horizons Awards, competing for a share of £50 million.  The Farmer Network’s Veronica Waller, was one of 3 representatives from the Lake District who presented to the Heritage Horizons panel earlier this month.

The next stage is to work up proposals for a more detailed bid that will be submitted this autumn and we will be helping the Lake District Partnership with getting farmers’ views on what you would like included.   We hope to be organising consultation events after lambing and for more information, contact Veronica on 01524 782797.
