Following a meeting with the Yorkshire Dales’ Farming in Protected Landscapes programme, we can now offer training vouchers worth up to £200 to farmers of any age bringing the scheme in line with what is on offer in Cumbria.  Our training voucher scheme can be used towards the cost of any training relating to the farm business – this might be training on use of equipment such as telehandlers, use of pesticides and sheep dip, or training on skills such as shearing, walling and hedge laying.  We have also funded courses on hosting educational visits and use of farm accounting software.  Please call the office on 01768 868615 if you are interested in applying for a training voucher in either Cumbria or Yorkshire.
