The Farmer Network has funding from Defra’s facilitation fund for a group in the Alston/Slaggyford area of the North Pennines.  This will fund workshops for 3 years starting in June 2023 on a range of topics linked to the environmental priorities for the area.  The application was led by farmers who were part of the Prince’s Farm Resilience Programme who wanted to continue to meet and maximise their opportunities for funding from environmental schemes.  However, it is open to other farmers in the area to join if interested.   For more information, please contact the group’s facilitator, Andy Dyer, on 07375 417555 or email andy.dyer15@btinternet.com.
