YOU CAN NOW APPLY FOR SFI 2024 ON-LINE

This week, Defra published more information about SFI 2024 including that you can now apply without needing to complete the expression of interest survey.  They also confirm that there will be additional SFI endorsed actions available in 2025 and more details are expected before the end of the year.  These will include options for farmland wildlife and habitats on grassland, heritage, wood pasture, orchards, coastal habitats and waterbodies.  This makes it difficult for farmers to decide what fields to include in an SFI application now, but we recommend that if you have any fields that you think might qualify for endorsed options that you apply for these separately as you can have more than one SFI agreement.  Go to:  SFI scheme information: expanded offer for 2024 - GOV.UK.
