Farmers who submitted an Expression of Interest have until 1st September to submit a full application to the Sustainable Farming Incentive pilot. Initially, there are 8 standards with more standards to be added as the pilot develops over the next 3 years. The Sustainable Farming Incentive will be adapted in response to feedback, but the pilot gives us an idea of how it will operate. The Soils Standards will also be available for all farmers in next year’s SFI 2022 scheme.
