Defra has released an update on SFI 2023. More than 14,000 farmers have registered their interest in applying to SFI 2023 and those whose agreements started on 1 October received their first quarterly payment this week. From this Friday, farmers will no longer need to submit registrations of interest and will be able to apply directly online, apart from on common land where applicants should continue to express their interest with the Rural Payments Agency.
