The next round of the Slurry Infrastructure grant will open in early November with grants for slurry storage and associated infrastructure. Changes to the scheme since the 1st round include a grant for slurry separators, an increase to the overall budget and the expansion of the target areas. Farmers will also be able to apply for a grant for impermeable covers for existing slurry stores – not just new stores – but this will still need to achieve 6 months’ storage. You can read the guidance here and find out more at a Defra webinar on 9th November - click here to register to attend. You can also read updated guidance on GOV.UK on slurry regulations and best practice.
