SFI 2024 UPDATE

By the end of August, the Rural Payments Agency says they had received around 8,500 expressions of interest with 7,000 invited to apply and 300 live agreements so far. There are currently 102 actions available including the 1st endorsed action for species rich grassland. If a farmer wishes to include an endorsed action within their application, the RPA will pass this to Natural England who will then be in contact with the farmer to arrange a visit.  There are concerns about Natural England’s capacity to deal with these enquiries so please give us feedback if this delays your agreement.
