The “Rural Fund” is a top up to the Shared Prosperity Fund and is a capital grant scheme that will be administered by Local Authorities.  The scheme will support new and existing rural businesses develop new products and facilities of wider benefit to the local economy including farm diversification projects.  It is not yet open for applications in most areas with the exception of West Yorkshire – you can read about their application process here.  The scheme is expected to open in other areas over the next few months.
