Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL)

The Farmer Network has been awarded funding from the FiPL programmes in National Parks and National Landscapes in the following areas.

  • In the North Pennines, we have funding for 3 farm walks, 3 village hall drop in events and 2 films. The workshops are aimed at both farmers and environmental organisations on the theme of how nature recovery in the East of Eden area can be integrated into viable farm businesses.
  • In the Lake District, we have been awarded funding for workshops on sheep health topics including sheep scab and liver fluke, farm business resilience and help for farmers who want to meet in small cluster groups.
  • In the Yorkshire Dales National Park (including the area in Cumbria), our FiPL project includes workshops and farm business vouchers worth up to £500.
