From 2024 to March 2026, the Farmer Network obtained funding from the Defra Welfare Fund in partnership with Upper Teesdale Agricultural Support Services (UTASS), Field Nurse and the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. This included funding for social events, one to one support, workshops on health and safety and succession planning and auction mart clinics. The project enabled us to organize some very successful events and we have also benefitted from working with and supporting our project partners. This included expanding the services of Field Nurse into Otley and Penrith auction marts.  We have recently applied to the second round of the Defra Welfare Fund and hope to know the outcome of our application in November.
