NATIONAL PARK AND AONB EVENTS ON STEWARDSHIP AND ELM

National Parks and AONBs have funding for engagement with farmers to discuss the Stewardship Schemes and the new ELM scheme.  The Farm Conservation team at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority have published a series of dates for online meetings in February – see YDNPA Stewardship & ELM meetings Feb 21

The meetings will feature a presentation on the funding set out in Defra’s agricultural transition plan, including the proposed new ‘Farming in Protected Landscapes’ scheme. There will also be an update on Countryside Stewardship and the Environmental Land Management scheme.  Places are limited to 15 per session so book early – go to Yorkshire Dales CS and ELM events.

The Farmer Network will be delivering similar events for farmers in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB on Thursday 11th and 18th February.  The Solway, Nidderdale and North Pennines AONBs are also planning events along with the  Lake District National Park.  We will circulate dates for these events when finalised.
