FUNDING SECURED TO HELP SUPPORT FARMERS DURING COVID-19

This week, we received confirmation that the Farmer Network has been awarded £9,500 from Cumbria Community Foundation to support farmers coping with the impact of Coronavirus.  This includes help with understanding what support is available for farm businesses, preparing contingency plans, helping source supplies and to operate an emergency labour scheme.  To help farmers in the Yorkshire Dales, we have asked the Prince’s Countryside Fund for permission to use residual funding in our Grassroots Club project.  If you need help or are aware of farmers in need, please call The Farmer Network Office on 01768 868615.  Please also call us if you would like to volunteer to help farmers in your local area, or if you are available to work for farms that require labour in an emergency.
