This week government has announced that fuel duty on red diesel will be reduced from 10.18p per litre to 6.48p per litre. This is welcome news as the fuel market has been volatile with a significant and sustained price increase since the start of the conflict.
We have seen price reductions from some suppliers at the tail end of this week on red diesel and heating oil, but this is not related to the government announcement. The fuel duty cut will not kick in until 15th June.
