This week, the Cumbria Rural Enterprise Capital Grant scheme was launched with funding for investment in rural businesses including farm diversification projects. Grants are for between £1,000 and £49,999 at an intervention rate of up to 80% which is higher than anticipated. Information about the scheme is here and the first stage is to complete the expression of interest form and the deadline is 12noon on Monday 22nd June 2026.
