FARM FOR THE FUTURE

There is still time to sign up to the Farm for the Future groups based at Longtown, Pateley Bridge, Sedbergh and near Flimby in North-West Cumbria.  The programme includes a series of workshops and one to one support to help farmers understand the changes to farm payments and consider their options for the future.  The next workshops are on:

  • Tuesday 8th October 11am – 1.30pm at The Moody Cow, Blue Dial Farm, Allonby with James Bretherton speaking about grassland management.
  • Tuesday 22nd October 7pm at the Graham Arms Hotel at Longtown with Capontree Vets talking about animal health and welfare topics
  • Thursday 31st October 6.30pm at Sedbergh Golf Club with the Yorkshire Dales National Park farm team on environmental schemes.
  • Thursday 7th November 7pm at Pateley Bridge auction café with the Nidderdale National Landscapes on environmental schemes.
