Defra Minister, Therese Coffey announced details on how Biodiversity Net Gain is to be implemented in England.  This important announcement was somewhat over-shadowed by her later comments about turnips!  Farming Minister, Mark Spencer, launched the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund at the NFU Conference and covered recent developments with schemes including the animal health and welfare review and Sustainable Farming Incentive.  He also announced help for small abattoirs.  You can read his speech here.
