CHANGES TO WASTE EXEMPTION PERMIT CHARGES FROM 1st APRIL

New Environment Agency (EA) charges for waste exemption permits started on 1^st April. There are 15 agricultural exemptions which avoid the need to apply for a permit but there is a new charge for these exemptions of £56 per registration plus £88 per exemption.  Exemptions remain active for 3 years after registering and, if you have existing waste exemptions in place, the charges won’t apply until you need to renew them.  Each site/ address should be registered for a set of waste exemptions, even if the sites all belong to one business.  More information is on the EA’s consultation page here.
