Starting this week, Biodiversity Net Gain will now apply to all residential projects up to 9 homes on 1 hectare or less. It also applies to all commercial projects of less than 1,000 sq. metres of floor space.  This means that new developments will have to increase biodiversity by 10% compared to what was previously on site although there are some exemptions.
