This week, the Agriculture Bill finally received Royal Assent and has passed into UK law.  This Bill was originally published in September 2018 and went back into Parliament in January this year. The Agriculture Bill includes the phase out of Basic Payment Scheme from 2021 to 2027 and its replacement with the new Environmental Land Management Scheme which will pay for “public goods”.  Further details about the agricultural transition period are due to be published later this month – for more information see: Agriculture Bill Press Release
