SHARED PROSPERITY FUND

This week, the Government launched the UK Shared Prosperity Fund which aims to replace EU structural funding.  The Fund is aimed at generating economic growth and will be distributed by Local Authorities who have been asked to submit their investment plans by 1st August 2022.  The first payments to Local Authorities will be from October 2022 and the funding will last until March 2025.  Additional funds will be provided to Defra specifically for rural communities and it will be important to engage with Local Authorities to make sure that rural and farming businesses will benefit.
