SFI 2024 – 1ST AGREEMENTS NOW LIVE

Farmers who expressed an interest in applying to SFI 2024 are now being contacted by the Rural Payments Agency to help them test the system and Defra has reported that the first agreements have gone live.   To apply early for the expanded SFI offer, you can complete a short expression of interest survey.  More guidance was issued on Monday including clarification of how the SFI supplements will work, new capital grants linked to SFI options for agro-forestry trees and a moorland survey and more detailed guidance on how to implement the options.  The SFI guidance notes have been updated SFI scheme information: expanded offer for 2024 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and you can choose SFI actions using the ‘Find funding for land or farms’ tool.
