RURAL PROSPERITY FUND

Opening today in Westmorland & Furness

The Rural Prosperity Fund is a capital grant supporting rural businesses and communities with the potential to fund farm diversification.

  • In Westmorland and Furness the grant scheme opened today offering 40% towards the cost of rural business development. There is a minimum grant of £1,000 with the average award expected to be around £15,000.  Key deadlines are:
    • Expressions of Interest by midday on 24th January 2024
    • Full applications by midday 13th March 2024.

  • We understand that the grant scheme in Cumberland will also open shortly - further details to follow.
  • In North Yorkshire, their small business grant scheme has capital grants of up to £10,000. There is a separate fund for decarbonisation which may help renewable energy projects.  Go to: N Yorkshire Shared Prosperity Fund.
