The 2026 RABI Winter Grant offers timely relief for working farming families facing rising living costs during the coldest months of the year. Replacing the previous Winter Fuel Grant, it reflects the wider challenges now affecting the farming community from heating and utilities to food, travel, and other essentials. RABI is offering £400 per household to eligible working farming people and farming dependants currently living and working in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland. There are 2,000 grants available, split across two phases:
- Phase 1: Opens 12pm on Monday 19 January
• Phase 2: Opens 12pm on Monday 2 February
The grant closes on 27 February or earlier once the maximum budget/grant allocation is reached. In previous years it has been quickly oversubscribe so get ready to apply early.
