This Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund (NEIRF) project aims to explore and expand the funding opportunities available to farms across Upper Wharfedale NEIRF. The NEIRF project is delivered by a partnership including the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, Cumulus Consultants, Credit Nature and Land App. The Farmer Network has been helping coordinate workshops and events for the project which has included an update on schemes in March 2025 with plans for a farm walk in August and a trip to look at the Wyresdale Natural Flood Management project. There is funding for one to one advice for farmers including using LandApp to develop maps of areas of the farm with high potential for habitat creation or enhancement and potential funding options. At a time of great uncertainty, this project could help farmers understand and the potential for funding from schemes and green finance funding.
