The Northumberland Farmer Network is piloting a new farm business support programme funded by The Royal Countryside Fund (RCF). The programme will bring together 20–25 farm businesses to discuss current challenges, share ideas, and explore ways to strengthen their businesses. Between January and February 2026, the group will attend three workshops based in the Hexham area on topics linked to improving business performance led by expert speakers. There is also funding for each farm to do a Business Health Check Tool (BHCT), which helps with assessing business performance and identifying areas for improvement. After the workshops, there will be up to four drop-in days for further advice and support.
