CUMBRIA FARMERS CONFERNCE

Following on from last year’s success, The Farmer Network is hosting another Cumbria Farming Conference in November. year’s broad theme is “Building a Future”. The morning session will be looking at adding value through diversification opportunities which government consistently asks farmers to consider. Also, the pitfalls if not done correctly. The afternoon session will be asking the simple question “what future for our fells”? For sure the answers discussed will not be simple or straightforward. An impressive line-up of guest speakers from several organisations will attend the conference, alongside local farmers who will share their experiences and thoughts on stage. Speakers will be announced soon, and both sessions are expected to generate lively debate.
