Local Authority Discretionary Business Grants Fund now open in Cumbria

The Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund is now open in Cumbria for small and micro businesses with fixed property costs who are not eligible for Small Business Grants, or the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Fund.  Note that businesses that have claimed Self-Employed Income Support can apply.  Local Authorities are setting their own criteria, but businesses will need to demonstrate relatively high ongoing property-related costs and that they have suffered a significant fall in income due to the COVID-19 crisis.    For more details, click on your Local Authority web-link:  Allerdale, Copeland, Barrow, Carlisle, Eden and South Lakeland District Council.  Note there is a 2 week application period and each Local Authority has set their own deadline so check their guidance notes for details.

In the Yorkshire Dales, the scheme is not yet open but keep checking your Local Authority’s website for details: Craven, Harrogate and Richmondshire.
