Using satellite data to improve pasture

Beef, lamb and dairy farmers are being invited to collaborate to create a new tool to improve pasture performance. This exciting new partnership comes with funding from Defra and InnovateUK and is being developed with University of Edinburgh and agritech business Environment Systems.

Dairy farmers wanted asap: mastitis typing kits available

Calling dairy farmers interested in trying out on-farm test kits to identify the cause of mastitis. Due to unforeseen events, the coordinator has 60 tests which will expire end of Feb. The field lab so far has produced some exciting preliminary results indicating an average 35% antibiotic reduction through the use of these kits. Email: info@innovativefarmers.org
