The Animal Health and Welfare Pathway supports improvements in farm animal health and welfare. The first step is the Animal Health and Welfare Review which is funding for a vet visit for up to 3 hours offering advice on animal health, welfare and biosecurity. This can include diagnostic testing, advice on the use of medicines and signposting to other financial support. By helping to test the review, you’ll gain early access to the service. To get involved, email: AHWR_enquiries@defra.gov.uk. Note that you can still benefit from this review even if you already have an annual visit from your vet as part of the Red Tractor scheme and in future this funding may help pay for the visit.
