Forest Machine Operators

Due to an increase in work load D Williams Forestry are seeking new team members to operate harvesters, forwarders and/or Tractor and trailer. Based in Cumbria but must be willing to travel occasionally. The role will include productive machine operation, machine maintenance as well as other tasks.

The right candidates must be hard working, reliable, work to a high standard, conscientious and also have mechanical knowledge. Applicants must be able to work alone and as part of a team productively. Up to date tickets would be preferred but not essential.

Applicants with mechanical knowledge are invited to apply, previous forestry work is not essential but would be beneficial.

Training will be provided to our high safety standards, high production rate and environmental considerations. Competitive wage dependant on experience.

Skyline Team Members

Due to an increase in work load D Williams Forestry are seeking new team members to join our current Skyline team based mainly in Cumbria but must be willing to travel occasionally. The role will include chokering, chainsaw operation (for the right candidate) and Skyline set up.

This is a physical role so the right candidates must be willing to work outdoors in all elements on sometimes challenging terrain, they will also be reliable and a good team player.

Previous chainsaw experience would be preferred but not essential, ability to work hard, take instruction and a good positive attitude is most important.

Chainsaw and first aid certification would be beneficial but not essential
