Find out when you need a permit to manage watercourses, environmental best practice and an update on what has happened to the IDB proposals.
This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss anything related to managing watercourses in the Waver Wampool catchment.
Rob Ide from the Environment Agency will cover when you need a permit, the application process and how catchment scale permits can help reduce costs and administration. Together with Veronica Waller from the Farmer Network, he will also give an update on what has happened to the proposals first consulted on in 2015 about a potential Internal Drainage Board.
Catchment Sensitive Farming Officer, Laura Teasdale and Tash Pearson from West Cumbria Rivers Trust will cover environmental best practice on managing watercourses and what support and funding is available.
With thanks to funding from West Cumbria Rivers Trust and the Catchment Sensitive Farming Programme.
