NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT PLANS

The aim of this practical workshop is to help farmers with Nutrient management plans which fit with the SFI action NUM1. FACTs advisor Hannah Shirt of Yara and Lancrop Laboratories will discuss nutrient use and needs and identify opportunities to increase efficiency of nutrient usage.

We will look at how farmers can maximise the use of sources of nutrients for their land such as slurry and FYM. The workshop will give farmers confidence to produce written nutrient management (NM) review reports with the help of a FACTs advisor. Please bring along any recent soil and slurry tests you may have to use in the discussions.
