On Thursday, our new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, announced an energy price guarantee for both households and businesses.   Most farmhouses are on a business rather than a domestic energy tariff so have not benefitted from the package of support announced earlier this year.  However, businesses will now benefit from a new six-month scheme starting in October which will provide “equivalent support” to that being offered to households.  After this six-month period, ministers plan to offer “focused support” to vulnerable industries.  The full statement can be viewed here.
