EMAIL ABOUT THE DE-LINKED BPS PAYMENT

This week, the RPA sent out an email with information about the arrangements for paying the Basic Payment Scheme in 2025.  This will have been a very difficult message for many farmers, particularly those who historically received higher BPS payments as it confirms the accelerated reductions to payments.  The “delinked” payment for 2025 will be the business’ reference amount reduced by 76% and capped for all businesses at £7,200.  The RPA plans  to pay 2025 delinked payments as one payment from 1 August 2025 rather than splitting it into two instalments. They intend to take the same approach in 2026 and 2027.
