This week, the Rural Payments Agency sent out an email about the reductions to delinked payments in 2026 and 2027 announced in Defra’s Spending Review. The delinked payments will be based on the business’ “reference amount” minus the following reductions:
- Reference payments of £30,000 or less: reduced by 98%
- Amounts above £30,000: reduced by 100%.
This means the maximum payment in 2026 and 2027 will be £600, compared to a maximum payment in 2025 of £7,200. The delinked payments will be paid as a single instalment in August of each year. For more information go to: Delinked payments: replacing the Basic Payment Scheme
