COVID-19 – HELP AND SUPPORT

Do you need help with information about support schemes, sourcing supplies, preparing contingency plans and finding emergency labour for your business?  The Farmer Network has received funding from Cumbria Community Foundation and from the Prince’s Countryside Fund to support farmers in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales during the Covid-19 crisis.

We are urging all farmers to create a contingency plan in case you or key workers become ill or need to self-isolate. We have aTemplate available on our website and can help complete a contingency plan if required.  We have also created a Farm Labour Emergency Support scheme to help farm businesses secure the services of workers to undertake essential farm tasks, or support with deliveries/collections. We have created a register of potential workers and want to hear from those able to offer their labour and from farmers who might need this help. This may be skilled staff able to work full time on a paid basis, or unskilled volunteers willing to help with basic tasks, or with collecting or delivering supplies – See our Covid-19 Information & Support page and please give us a call on 01768 868615.
