Applications for Countryside Stewardship Mid-Tier (including Wildlife Offers), Higher Tier, and the Hedgerows and Boundaries Grant opened on 18 February 2019. The deadline for applying for Higher Tier and to the Hedgerows and Boundaries scheme is 3rd May. For Mid-Tier you need to order an application pack by 31st May and the deadline for applications is 31st July. More information about the schemes are on the following links:

Note you can now add land to your holding by sending an email request toruralpayments@defra.gov.uk before 4th May with details of the parcel(s) you wish to add - the subject heading of the email should include the wording ‘CS2019 Add Land’.
We are expecting there to be free Natural England workshops in April/May with the potential for one to one advice about the Mid-Tier scheme, but no details are yet available.
